Hiya!
Hope all of you are doing well in your exams! I wish you the best of luck.
The meetings have been going great lately. We have progressed a lot, and new ideas are being suggested onto how to improve and become more active.
A new project is being worked on by the members which needs your help and contribution, and I am hoping for something big out of it. I will tell you all about it this Friday.
It has been decided that on Tuesdays we will be discussing plans, strategies and work, and Fridays will be left for discussions and sharing experiences.
This Friday is a very important meeting, and I would like to ask you all to attend. I know some of you are busy, and some have exams, I truly understand, but it's very important you attend because we will be having a workshop on Gender. And I urge you all to cancel all plans, delay some of your studies and come for the meeting, at least to attend the workshop then you are free to leave.
Guys, we are growing, and so far giving a very good image, and walking in steady footsteps. I congratulate you all for the success, and would like to express how proud I am of each and every one of you.
Friday's meeting will start at 6:00 pm and will end at 10:00pm.
You are free to come before or stay after the meeting, but NOT during.
The workshop will begin at 7:00 for those who have limited time.
I love you all

4th of June- Meeting 8
Heyo!
Thank you all for coming today, it's always a pleasure having new people joining our discussion.
First, I would like to apologize for the loss of control and weakness of organization in today's meeting due to different reasons. Personally, I think it wasn't our best, but yet again, our goal is one, and our goal is being achieved: people are coming, and people are talking. We continued talking about Gay romance, and relationships, and people shared experiences, some were extremely personal.
One of the most positive feedbacks I got after today's meeting was that it was the first time people in groups actually talked about such personal experiences knowing they will not be judged, which makes it very comforting.
With that being said by a new member, I believe we are achieving what we're aspiring for.
The meeting started off late, 6:45 and lasted till 10:30!
Anyone who can't stay that long is always excused to leave of course. But I believe it was such a success to have a group of people talk non stop for 4 hours, without even getting bored! So congrats everyone, you truly are an example for tolerance and acceptance and maturity, and I thank you for that.
The group is expanding, and people constantly are eager to join us, and this is why a decision was made, that we have two separate meetings every week. Tuesdays and Fridays. Anyone is welcome to any or both meetings.
A rotation for moderating the group is being applied, every time a different person will be leading the discussion.
Due to lateness hindering us, it has been decided that anyone who's 15 minutes late without having notified of his lateness, will not be admitted in the discussion room, and that decision is effective beginning next week. So leave your houses taking into consideration traffic, and anything that might stop you from coming on time. It's very important we keep this in minds.
Next meeting will take place on Tuesday 8th of June at 5:30. Same place. Don't be late!
Love you all… really.

28th of May- Meeting 7
Dear fellas,
The meetings are going great so far. A lot of new people are coming, whom we welcome dearly, and hope will be with us regularly. Some of our older members have not been attending because of their finals, with which we wish them the best of luck… we miss you guys, yalla finish up so you can rejoin us
I've been hearing comments here and there about our meetings, and all of them are positive. But I don't think you guys need to hear that, because I'm pretty sure you all feel the positive energy flowing between us. What we are having is good discussion, a lot of listening, a lot of talking and most of all, a lot of respect, for which I thank you all.
Last time, Friday the 28th of May, we talked about gay romance, dating/relationships. 10 new members joined us, most of which will be attending next time, and hopefully the times to come. The meeting lasted for 3 hours and a half! Can you imagine a group of people sitting for that long, and not one of them budging or complaining? That's a sign my friends =)
Anyhoo… we talked about organizing a trip, keep it mind, we have to do it once everyone is done with their finals, remind me next time to talk about it, and start actually planning it, and try to come up with places to go, or things to do.
We also talked about having a Leadership workshop, for those who might be interested in leading the discussions, it's nice to have different people doing that, I'm sure you're all bored from that one person specifically giving you looks and directing the conversations =p anyone who might be interested please contact me, don't be shy, the aim of the workshop is to get you more confident.
Sorry this update is a bit long, but I thought I would put you all in the picture where we're going, and how we're doing.
I miss y'all already
Cheers.

5th meeting
Hey everyone!
Our 5th meeting took place last Friday the 14th of May. Where one of our own members gave a very informative and well researched presentation about STDs, and it was followed by an open speech session, where everyone had a few minutes to discuss any topic/experience they felt they wanted to share.
I was really pleased with the last meeting. It felt we have actually started a family. We are getting along much better than before, and I can see good signs of friendliness, which would definitely encourage new people to join us, and feel themselves home.
It was suggested that the group would start organizing a day for going out, and I find the idea very appealing, so everyone, keep the idea in your minds, and start thinking of places/activities we could do.
One important note to all... Please keep updated with this blog.
Another very important note, due to lateness that has exceeded limits in the past weeks, if you know you are to be late, please send me a message telling me beforehand, so that the meeting could proceed.
If you do not have my number, you can email me and ask for it.
Next meeting will take place this Friday 21st of May at 6:00 p.m. Same place.
I wish you all the best of luck in your exams in case you are going through any, be focused, and make us all- your friends- very proud :)
take care y'all

3rd meeting
Heyo,
Last night was really good! It was far from being perfect, and I heard a lot of feedback about how to improve the discussion and how to make it better, to which I am deeply grateful.
Thank you everyone for attending and thank you for those who cared enough to tell me what was missing so that we would be able to reach better levels.
The topic started off with self-discovery but eventually diverted and covered coming-out and identity.
The meeting was attended by 22 LGBTs, most of whom discussed their problems and experiences, and I hope it was fruitful.
After the meeting, most of the members went out together to have fun, which was great! At least we are all getting used to each other, and finally becoming friends.
Again, I would like to point out, the discussion group is far from being perfect. Complaints and feedback are much, much appreciated, whether on the spot, or to any of the moderators privately.
Next meeting will be Friday 7th of May, at 6:30 pm.
Same place.
Please be there at 6:00 pm.
Any information, kindly contact any of these email addresses.

2nd meeting
Hey y'all
Once again, I would like to thank you all for showing up, today was great, you guys rock!
The meeting was attended by 24 LGBs and lasted from 6:00 to 7:30.
Some of the attendees shared with the group their phases of self-discovery, some talked about how painful it was to finally accept themselves, others talked about how surprisingly smooth it went for them.
Everyone has different experiences, but one thing remains in common. We are all being forced to hide behind masks, whether before our parents, friends, or coworkers.
7aki elo ta3meh is a place where those masks dissolve, and the other is our mirror. I encourage everyone to show up and to speak up, if you believe you are not ready, you are more than welcome to come and listen to others' experiences. They are these little conversations that make the bigger change in one's heart.
Again, thanks everyone for coming, and we hope to see you next week.
We will be continuing our discussion about Self-discovery.
Friday 29th of April at 5:45. Same place.
PS, Please guys, try to be there on time, we will be starting at 5:50 pm sharp. So please be there 5 minutes early so that no interruptions will occur for any speaker.

1st meeting...
Hey guys,
First I would like to thank you all for coming tonight, I believe it was great having been able to meet and talk, and I hope later on we will be able to cover as much topics as possible.
I believe today's meeting was a major success, and it's comforting knowing that we’re on the right track.
The meeting was attended by 16 LGBs, and was introductory. Each talked briefly about themselves, and the group set a few minor aims for future reference.
We proposed a few topics we would like to discuss, among those are: Sharing experiences, self-discovery, love/dating, marriage, stereotype, "cures", homophobia, music, books, movies, bisexuality/self identity… and many, many others…
The meeting took about an hour, we were a bit short on time, but in the times to come, it would most likely take more. It concluded with us deciding to meet again next week, same place, same time.
We will be discussing Self-discovery.
Next meeting: Friday 23rd of April 2010 at 6:00pm
Place: Same place, if you're new, contact the email below for directions or any further information.
Unwritten.life@hotmail.com
And please guys, try to make it on time, if you can come earlier just to chill before the discussion, feel free :)
Cheers y'all.

7aki elo ta3meh discussions
'7aki elo ta3meh' is a weekly discussion group for young LGTBs, where they gather and talk about everything, from daily life, to movies, to books to sexual awareness, to personal problems.
Its purpose is to provide a community for young LGTBs to actually communicate on the mental and emotional levels.
Against the stereotype of homosexuality being an excuse for excessive sexual activities, alcoholism or drug addictions, these meetings would actually prove that LGTBs can gather, and not have sex; that they would be meeting for the joy of having someone to actually communicate with, rather than trying to hook up.
The discussions will start this Friday, 16th of April at 6:00 pm
For information about the place the discussions will be held, or any other info, please contact:
Unwritten.life@hotmail.com
